The 5 steps of embracing the journey of self-worth to step into abundance

Trusting your journey is essential. The energy of abundance is expanded self-worth; the higher your self-worth, the more abundance you will feel worthy of calling in.

It is the topic of the second month inside my mastermind: Goddess Embodiment Sisterhood where we work with the energy of Goddess Athena and navigate through childhood programming.

This week on the podcast covers it in a beautiful way. I welcomed a beautiful guest, Emma who has suffered from anxiety, low self worth and pregnancy loss. She is now part of my mastermind Goddess Embodiment Sisterhood and is here to share her story and tips.

If you’re curious to learn more about the story, listen to the full episode.

How does your ancestral lineage and childhood programming define your current self-worth?

Self-worth is based on the structure of beliefs you grew up with (these are imprinted in your subconscious). How much you have shown your subconscious that you can expand beyond these limiting beliefs, and what your level of subconscious self-worth is.

Childhood is where your subconscious belief system is created, and where you pick up the beliefs and stories that loop in your subconscious mind and project outwards. Because the subconscious of a child doesn’t understand context, and thinks in black and white, you imprint everything you witness or experience during this time - pain, shame, programming, etc. This can come from family patterns, media, peers, teachers and community. Everything we witnessed, felt, heard, and experienced impacts our lives in the present.

So, in order to uplevel your self-worth, you must first uncover the programming around it that you picked up in childhood or through ancestral lineage. It is a work we do deeply inside the Goddess Embodiment Sisterhood.

The 5 steps to reprogram low self-worth into unapologetic worth energy

This is how I guide my client in my Goddess Embodiment Sisterhood and Soul+Biz Alchemy:

  • Step 1: Bring Awareness. Identify your ancestral lineage and childhood programming through self-inquiry with an open heart and an open mind.

Prompts to help you start now: In which situation are you feeling low self-worth? How far can you trace it back to a childhood memory or ancestral story?

  • Step 2: Connect with your soul-desire. To dive deeper into this, I recommend you check out my article on manifesting your desires. What does it mean for you to step into your authentic self? You can read my article published on Thrive Global about Authenticity to help you understand the power to BE YOU.

  • Step 3: Identify and connect with role models. It is known that you are the average of the five people you spend most of your time with. After you unblock your limited subconscious structure of beliefs, you need to expand, for your magnetic self-worth to come through. Join the Essential Alchemy community if you want to feel uplifted and surround yourself with incredible authentic powerful women.

  • Step 4: Embody your unapologetic worth-energy. By being in that energy of unapologetic stepping into your power, deservingness, strong energy will make you magnetic. Please note being “in your power” NEVER means acting unethically or unkindly. We mean self-empowerment - knowing that you and every human are innately deserving and worthy. This includes kindness to self and others.

  • Step 5: Reinforce your new unapologetic worth-energy. Through repetition, you can shift what has been part of your upbringing, your subconscious to integrate this new vibration. So go back regularly to step 1 every time you are triggered and go back to the low self-worth pattern. Subconsciously/energetically and begin to integrate this energy on the physical plane. Reinforcement is important in neuroplasticity.

How to build yourself up from low self-worth to confidence daily

Let’s now build this into confidence. Here are the 3 daily practises to build yourself up from low self-worth to confidence:

  • Start with small steps to start loving yourself. Nothing happens overnight. Where you are is divinely and exactly where you are supposed to be. Rushing never speeds up this process. Rome wasn't built in a day. We are an "instant" society, but when it comes to love, there is no such thing as space and time. To illustrate this I’d love to share the teachings from Chogyam Trungpa (that has been teaching me so much): ‘In order to develop love - universal Love, Cosmic Love, whatever you would like to call it - one must accept the whole situation of life as it is, both the light and the dark, the good and the bad’.

  • Trust your intuition and your inner knowing. I’d love to share another quote on this one: “Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.” from Carl Jung. Emma shares how for her everytime she trusts her intuition it turns out beautifully. The poem Emma wrote and shared during the podcast:

Send love and light to yourself. It is all about filling your cup with love. Emma shared in the podcast about a ritual she does everyday to send love back to herself. To illustrate this one, I love this quote from Oscar Wilde: To love oneself is the beginning of a life-long romance.

My own journey of self-worth

Self-worth is something that I've had a long and arduous relationship with, as I think many of us as women and as women leaders and business owners have. I’ve even written an article in Thrive Global about it and how to step into my own self worth.

Leaving my successful career as a General Manager in one of the largest corporations in Australia and the journey that I went on shortly after, to start my business was a huge act of reinforcing my self worth. It has been a way to claim back what I deserve, who I am and step into my unique power.

I've called on my own rituals daily to fully step into my own self-worth. Working with meditation, journaling and being fully present to when things arise.
